Web Done Well: Unbounce Homepage
Found this on the showcase of current web design trends I posted earlier from SEOmoz on and thought it really stood out. We’re putting together comps for our new site design and using a dark theme that incorporates textures, much like the Unbounce site.
I thought the designers did a tremendous job balancing the black background with a lighter area for their primary marketing content. There’s a subtle texture layered with the light effects that I thought really worked. As we’ve progressed through different versions of our comps we’ve learned that this is a tricky effect to pull off.
But the star of the show for me is the animated menu, there’s just so much detail to it and that’s what I thought really took it to the next level.
From the text that staggers off when another section is clicked to the slick infographics, this component is really polished and a great example of what’s possible these days with motion graphics.
Not to mention, it seems like a really cool app for landing pages and the design really fits the product.
